N Nagaraju, also known as Park Nagaraju, is a three-term Bangalore City Corporator. He became the Bangalore City Corporator for the first time from BMP Pattabhirama Nagara Ward 60 in 2001 and served the residents of this ward during 2001-2005. He won as the Bangalore City Corporator for the second time from BBMP Byrasandra Ward 169 in April 2010 and took care of the needs of the people this ward during 2010-2015.
During 2010-2015, N. Nagaraju served as an Elected Member of the BBMP Standing Committee on Tax and Finance for one year during 2014-15. He also rose in the BBMP BJP Leadership Ladder to become the BBMP BJP Ruling Party Leader of Brihat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike for one year during 2012-13.
N. Nagaraju became the Bangalore City Corporator for the third-time in August 2015. He won the BBMP Election from the BBMP Byrasandra Ward 169 polling 6985 votes on Tuesday, August 25, 2015.

N. Nagaraju was born in a middle class family on June 10, 1959. His father is Narasa Raju and his mother is N. Kamalamma Girija. His ancestors lived near Devanahalli, a town in Bangalore Rural District in Karnataka State.

(10) Hindu Raju Kshatriyas
N. Nagaraju, who is a highly devout Hindu, belongs to Raju Kshatriya Caste, also known as Raju Rajput Anegondi Aravidu Chagi Chedi Chalukya-Chola Eastern-Chalukya Gajapati Kakatiya Kosala Kota Paricheda Poosapati Gajapati Saluva Solanki Varnata Varanataka Vishnukundina Kshatriya Caste.
Raju Kshatriyas are related to the Rajput Kshatriyas, including Sisodia Rajputs, of Rajasthan, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Odisha and other states of North India and Nepal and the Solankis of Gujarat.
Raju Kshatriyas are found in large numbers in Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Odisha, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Kerala. Raju Kshatriyas are Sri Vaishnavas. They wear the sacred thread and follow the customs of Brahmins. Some of the Gotras of Raju Saluva Kshatriyas are Angirasa, Atreya, Brihaspati, Bharadwaja, Gargya, Dhanunjaya, Kashyspa, Kaushika, Koundinya, Pasupati, Vasishta and Vishwamitra.
Rajus Kshatriyas are Sri Vaishnava Brahmin Kshatriyas or Brahma Kshatriyas. Mohinder Singh Randhawa and Indian Council of Agricultural Research, in their book, Farmers of India: Madras, Andhra Pradesh, Mysore and Kerala, Volume 2, Published by Indian Council of Agricultural Research in 1961 say: "The generic term Raju indicating Kshatriya caste was appended to personal names of Brahmanas who were employed in the royal court during the period of Eastern Gangas. Eg. Lakshmaraju, Kramaraju."
Raju Kshatriyas are divided into three dynasties or three clans or three vamshams. They are (1) Solar Dynasty or Surya Vamsham Rajus (2) Lunar Dynasty or Chandra Vamsham Rajus and (3) Wind Dynasty or Hanuma Vamsham Rajus.
Surya Vamsham Rajus trace their lineage to Vishnu, Brahma, Surya, Ikshvaku, Raghu, Aja, Dasharatha, Rama, other Kings of Ayodhya and the Kings of Oudh.
Chandra Vamsham Rajus trace their origin to Vishnu, Brahma, Chandra, Budha, Pururavas, Pratipa, Shantanu, Bhishma, Chitrangada, Vichitravirya, Parashara, Vyasa, Dhritarashtra, Pandu, Vidura, Kauravas and Pandavas.
Hanuma Vamsham Rajus are also known as Vayu Vamsham Rajus. They trace their origin to Vishnu, Brahma, Vayudeva, Angiras, Brihaspati, Kesari and Hanuman and his wife. Hanuman is known by several names, including Vayu Putra, Pavana Putra, Anjana Putra, Kesari Putra, Vayunandan, Marutinandan, Maruti, Ramamitra, Sankatmochan, Sitarakshak, Thimmaraya, Mahavira, Bajrangbali, Anjaneya and Hanuman.
Hanuman is mentioned in both Valmiki Ramayana and Vyasa Mahabharata. Vedas mention Hanuman at many places. Rigveda refers to Hanuman as Vrishakapi or Tree Monkey. Several Hindu texts describe Hanuman as an incarnation or avatara of God Shiva. Divakrsnadasa, in his 17th century Odia work Rasavinoda, mentions that the three Hindu Gods - Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva merged themselves into Hanuman Mahadeva.
Rama held Hanuman in highest esteem and had greatest admiration for him. He described the great qualities of Hanuman in great detail in the third chapter of Kishkindha Kaanda of Valmiki Ramayana. According to Rama, Hanuman knew all the Vedas and Scriptures, possessed faultless speech and impeccable facial features, made the best sentences and excelled in nine schools of grammar.
One of the Surva Vamsha Kshatriyas is Kosuru Raju Kshatriyas found in Kosuru in Divi Taluk, Movva Mandal, Krishna District, Andhra Pradesh. They are descendants of Chola, Chalukya, Chalukya-Chola, Chagi, Eastern Chalukyas, Gajapatis, Ikshvaku, Kota, Paricchedi, Pusapati, Poosapati, Saluva, Varnataka and Vishnukundina Kshatriyas dynasties of India. They worship Sun (Surya Aradhana), Sri Rama and other Incarnations of Sri Vishnu and Tulasi Tree and build Sri Vaishnava Temples. They follow the Sri Vaishnava Sampradaya.
Kosuru Raju Kshatriyas follow Krishna Yajurveda and Apasthamba Sutra. Their Gotra is Koundinya, their Rishi Pravara is Vashishta – Maitra – Koundinya (Srimadvashista Maitravarana Koundinyasa Trayee Rushihi) and their Raja Pravara is Ikshvaku Shibi Muchikunda Adityachola Varnata Rajendrachola (Ikshvaaka Shibi Muchikunda Aadityachola Varnaata Raajendrachola Maharaaja Vamsham). Their Kulaguru (Religious Teacher) is Sri Narasimhacharyulu and their Dharma Peetham (Religious Institution) is Sri Ramanuja Peetham of Sri Vaishnava Sampradaya.
Some of the important Raju Kshatriya ruling dynasties and kingdoms that ruled over Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Odisha, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Kerala were the Saluva Hampi Vijayanagara Dynasty, Chagi, Chedi, Chalukya-Cholas, Eastern Chalukyas, Gajapatis, Kakatiya Kosala, Kota, Paricheda, Poosapati, Solankis, Varnataka and Vishnukundina.
Saluva Dynasty was one of the ruling dynasties of the Vijayanagara Empire which had its capital city at Hampi in South India. This dynasty was founded by the descendants of Saluva Mangala Devaraya, one of the most valiant and most loyal military commanders of Bukka Devaraya I of the Sangama Dynasty of the Vijayanagara Empire at Hampi.
The Vijaya Nagara Empire at Hampi was founded by the two brothers, Sangama Harihara Devaraya I and Sangama Bukka Devaraya I in 1336 at Anegundi in Koppal District, Karnataka State. Hampi was the Capital City of Vijayanagara Empire. Sangama Harihara Devaraya I ruled Vijayanagara Empire from 1336 to 1356 and Bukka Devaraya I ruled from 1356 to 1377.
Harihara Devaraya and Bukka Devaraya, the two brothers belonging to Kuruba and Golla joint ancestry, were treasury officers under Prataparudra Devaraya, the ruler of the Kakatiya Kingdom of Warangal. After the fall of the Kakatiya Kingdom in 1323, Harihara Devaraya and Bukka Devaraya moved to the Hoysala Kingdom and became military officers in the army of Vira Ballala III, the Ruler of Hoysala Kingdom of Dorasamudra, now known as Halebidu.
Harihara Devaraya I became a commander in the Hoysala Kingdom and was appointed by Vira Ballala III to administer the Northern Territories of Hoysala Kingdom of Dorasamudram. Harihara Devaraya and Bukka Devaraya eventually became a part of the Hoysala Ruling Family when the daughter of Harihara Devaraya was given in marriage to Ballala Dandanayaka, a nephew Vira Ballala II, the Ruler of Hoysala Kigndom of Dorasamudra.
The first Vijayanagara Dynasty was the Sangama Dynasty which ruled the Vijayanagara Empire at Hampi from 1336 to 1485. The Second Vijayanagara Dynasty was the Saluva Dynasty, of the Raju Kshatriyas or Raju Saluva Kshatriyas, who are Chandravamsha Rajus. They ruled the Vijayanagara Empire at Hampi from 1485 to 1505. Raju Saluva Kshatriyas are also known as Saluva Kakatiya Gunda Raju Kshatriyas.
Some of the rulers of Kakatiyas of Orugallu, or Warangal, were Gunda Devaraya I, Gunda Devaraya II, Gunda Devaraya III and Gunda Devaraya IV. The father of Sri Saluva Narasimha Devaraya, the most prominent Saluva Kakatiya Raju Kshatrya Emperor of Vijayanagara Empire at Hampi, was Saluva Gunda, the Governor of Chandragiri in Chittoor District under the Sangama Dynasty Emperors of Vijayanagara Empire at Hampi.
The First Saluva Emperor of the Vijayanagara Empire at Hampi was Sri Saluva Narasimha Devaraya. His father was Sri Saluva Gunda who was the Governor of Chandragiri and his great grand-father was Saluva Sri Mangala Devaraya, who was one of the most valiant and most loyal military commanders of Bukka Devaraya I of the Sangama Dynasty of the Vijayanagara Empire at Hampi.
Sri Saluva Narasimha Devaraya ruled the Vijayanagara Empire for seven years from 1485 to 1491. He was the most famous Saluva Ruler of the Vijayanagara Kingdom at Hampi. He donated large sums of money and gold and silver articles, ornaments and jewelry to and carried out several constructions at Tirumala-Tirupati Sri Govindaraja Swamy Temple and Tirumala-Tirupati Sri Venkateshwara Swamy Temple.
Sri Tirumala-Tirupati Sri Periyakoil Kelvi Srimath Koil Kandadai Ramanuja Ayyangar Jeeyangar Iyengar Jiyangar Swami, the greatest Sri Vaishnava Religious Leader of the time, was most venerated by the Vijayanagara Emperor Sri Saluva Narasimha Devaraja. Sri Govindaraja Swamy Temple, in particular, received greatest attention, special royal favors, gifts and grants and highest contributions from Vijaya Nagara Emperor Sri Saluva Narasimha Devaraya.

After Sri Saluva Narasimha Devaraya, his two sons followed him as the next two Raju Saluva Kshatriya Rulers of Vijayanagara Empire at Hampi. Saluva Sri Thimma Bhupala Devaraya, the son of Sri Saluva Narasimha Devaraya, ruled for just a few months in 1491. Saluva Sri Narasimha Devaraya II, the younger brother of Sri Thimma Bhupala Devaraya, became the Emperor in 1491 and ruled the Vijayanagara Empire at Hampi from 1491 to 1505.

On Sunday, January 12, 2014, Hampi celebrated the Vijaya Utsav at the mini palace where kings and queens of Vijayanagara Empire at Hampi spent their lives since January, 1565. On Saturday, January 11, 2014, Sri Krishna Devaraya, aged 43, from the Anegondi Aravidu Dynasty of Vijayanagar Empire at Hampi walked into this mini palace at Raja Beedi, Royal Street, at Anegondi, which means Elephant Enclosure, and is located on the banks of the Tungabhadra River.
He is a mechanical engineer by profession and worked for six years before returning to Hospet in Karnataka. He returned to Anegundi following the death of his father Raja Achyuta Devaraya. He says it is the duty of the members of the Anegondi Aravidu Dynasty to restore the heritage home and preserve it for the future generations of Indians in India. People came out of their homes in large numbers to pay their respects to their Vijayanagara Devaraya Raja. They greeted him with great reverence and with folded hands. He is still their Raja, their ruler forever.
The king of Vijayanagar who ruled from Hampi lost his kingdom in 1824 to the British and as per a treaty, he signed with them in 1824, the king’s family was to be provided a monthly pension of Rs 300 but the king’s family was forced to leave Hampi and make Anegundi its official residence.
According to Indian Hindu Mythology, Anegundi was Anjanadri hill, the birthplace of Lord Hanumantha, also known as Anjaneya or Anjanaputra or Anjana Nandana. Vishnukundina dynasty, which had marital alliances with Guptas of North India, ruled India during c.500 -600 AD. They rose in prominence after the Sata Satanana Satvata Satavahana dynasty. The kings of this dynasty were very powerful and celebrated Asvamedha Vijaya Yatra Yaga. One of the Vishnukundina Kings was Madhava Varma who is celebrated in folklore and epics.
Govinda Varma was another famous Vishnukundina ruler. The Vishnukundins, who had three important cities, near Eluru, Amaravati and Puranisangam and held sway over Kaldindi fort in Krishna District, constructed cave monuments. Srimath Paravastu Venkatacharya, the most revered 6th Matadhipati Acharya of Sri Tirumala Tirupati Sri Sarvathanthra Swathanthra Srimath Paravastu Mutt, wrote: “Sri Manmaha Paricchedika Varnata Kota Kakati Vamsha Patavamula Vasishtra Kaundinya Vara Dhanunjaya Kashyapakhya Gotrambula Natishayallu.”

Maharaja Sir Gode Narayana Gajapathi Rao Bahadur was a scion of the ancient Goday family of Vizagapatam in the Northern Circars, Madras Presidency, and Zamindar of Ankapalle and other estates. He received his education in the Hindu College, Calcutta. He was a Member of the Madras Legislative Council from 1868 to 1884 and a Fellow of the University of Madras. The title of Raja was conferred upon him in 1881 and the title of Maharaja on May 21, 1898. He established and maintained several schools and colleges.

N Nagaraju, also known as Park Nagaraju, is a three-term Bangalore City Corporator. He became the Bangalore City Corporator for the first time from BMP Pattabhirama Nagara Ward 60 in 2001 and served the residents of this ward during 2001-2005. He won as the Bangalore City Corporator for the second time from BBMP Byrasandra Ward 169 in April 2010 and took care of the needs of the people this ward during 2010-2015.
During 2010-2015, N. Nagaraju served as an Elected Member of the BBMP Standing Committee on Tax and Finance for one year during 2014-15. He also rose in the BBMP BJP Leadership Ladder to become the BBMP BJP Ruling Party Leader of Brihat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike for one year during 2012-13.
N. Nagaraju became the Bangalore City Corporator for the third-time in August 2015. He won the BBMP Election from the BBMP Byrasandra Ward 169 polling 6985 votes on Tuesday, August 25, 2015.

(10) Hindu Raju Kshatriyas
N. Nagaraju, who is a highly devout Hindu, belongs to Raju Kshatriya Caste, also known as Raju Rajput Anegondi Aravidu Chagi Chedi Chalukya-Chola Eastern-Chalukya Gajapati Kakatiya Kosala Kota Paricheda Poosapati Gajapati Saluva Solanki Varnata Varanataka Vishnukundina Kshatriya Caste.
Raju Kshatriyas are related to the Rajput Kshatriyas, including Sisodia Rajputs, of Rajasthan, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Odisha and other states of North India and Nepal and the Solankis of Gujarat.
Raju Kshatriyas are found in large numbers in Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Odisha, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Kerala. Raju Kshatriyas are Sri Vaishnavas. They wear the sacred thread and follow the customs of Brahmins. Some of the Gotras of Raju Saluva Kshatriyas are Angirasa, Atreya, Brihaspati, Bharadwaja, Gargya, Dhanunjaya, Kashyspa, Kaushika, Koundinya, Pasupati, Vasishta and Vishwamitra.
Rajus Kshatriyas are Sri Vaishnava Brahmin Kshatriyas or Brahma Kshatriyas. Mohinder Singh Randhawa and Indian Council of Agricultural Research, in their book, Farmers of India: Madras, Andhra Pradesh, Mysore and Kerala, Volume 2, Published by Indian Council of Agricultural Research in 1961 say: "The generic term Raju indicating Kshatriya caste was appended to personal names of Brahmanas who were employed in the royal court during the period of Eastern Gangas. Eg. Lakshmaraju, Kramaraju."
Raju Kshatriyas are divided into three dynasties or three clans or three vamshams. They are (1) Solar Dynasty or Surya Vamsham Rajus (2) Lunar Dynasty or Chandra Vamsham Rajus and (3) Wind Dynasty or Hanuma Vamsham Rajus.
Surya Vamsham Rajus trace their lineage to Vishnu, Brahma, Surya, Ikshvaku, Raghu, Aja, Dasharatha, Rama, other Kings of Ayodhya and the Kings of Oudh.
Chandra Vamsham Rajus trace their origin to Vishnu, Brahma, Chandra, Budha, Pururavas, Pratipa, Shantanu, Bhishma, Chitrangada, Vichitravirya, Parashara, Vyasa, Dhritarashtra, Pandu, Vidura, Kauravas and Pandavas.
Hanuma Vamsham Rajus are also known as Vayu Vamsham Rajus. They trace their origin to Vishnu, Brahma, Vayudeva, Angiras, Brihaspati, Kesari and Hanuman and his wife. Hanuman is known by several names, including Vayu Putra, Pavana Putra, Anjana Putra, Kesari Putra, Vayunandan, Marutinandan, Maruti, Ramamitra, Sankatmochan, Sitarakshak, Thimmaraya, Mahavira, Bajrangbali, Anjaneya and Hanuman.
Hanuman is mentioned in both Valmiki Ramayana and Vyasa Mahabharata. Vedas mention Hanuman at many places. Rigveda refers to Hanuman as Vrishakapi or Tree Monkey. Several Hindu texts describe Hanuman as an incarnation or avatara of God Shiva. Divakrsnadasa, in his 17th century Odia work Rasavinoda, mentions that the three Hindu Gods - Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva merged themselves into Hanuman Mahadeva.
Rama held Hanuman in highest esteem and had greatest admiration for him. He described the great qualities of Hanuman in great detail in the third chapter of Kishkindha Kaanda of Valmiki Ramayana. According to Rama, Hanuman knew all the Vedas and Scriptures, possessed faultless speech and impeccable facial features, made the best sentences and excelled in nine schools of grammar.
One of the Surva Vamsha Kshatriyas is Kosuru Raju Kshatriyas found in Kosuru in Divi Taluk, Movva Mandal, Krishna District, Andhra Pradesh. They are descendants of Chola, Chalukya, Chalukya-Chola, Chagi, Eastern Chalukyas, Gajapatis, Ikshvaku, Kota, Paricchedi, Pusapati, Poosapati, Saluva, Varnataka and Vishnukundina Kshatriyas dynasties of India. They worship Sun (Surya Aradhana), Sri Rama and other Incarnations of Sri Vishnu and Tulasi Tree and build Sri Vaishnava Temples. They follow the Sri Vaishnava Sampradaya.
Kosuru Raju Kshatriyas follow Krishna Yajurveda and Apasthamba Sutra. Their Gotra is Koundinya, their Rishi Pravara is Vashishta – Maitra – Koundinya (Srimadvashista Maitravarana Koundinyasa Trayee Rushihi) and their Raja Pravara is Ikshvaku Shibi Muchikunda Adityachola Varnata Rajendrachola (Ikshvaaka Shibi Muchikunda Aadityachola Varnaata Raajendrachola Maharaaja Vamsham). Their Kulaguru (Religious Teacher) is Sri Narasimhacharyulu and their Dharma Peetham (Religious Institution) is Sri Ramanuja Peetham of Sri Vaishnava Sampradaya.
Some of the important Raju Kshatriya ruling dynasties and kingdoms that ruled over Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Odisha, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Kerala were the Saluva Hampi Vijayanagara Dynasty, Chagi, Chedi, Chalukya-Cholas, Eastern Chalukyas, Gajapatis, Kakatiya Kosala, Kota, Paricheda, Poosapati, Solankis, Varnataka and Vishnukundina.
Saluva Dynasty was one of the ruling dynasties of the Vijayanagara Empire which had its capital city at Hampi in South India. This dynasty was founded by the descendants of Saluva Mangala Devaraya, one of the most valiant and most loyal military commanders of Bukka Devaraya I of the Sangama Dynasty of the Vijayanagara Empire at Hampi.
The Vijaya Nagara Empire at Hampi was founded by the two brothers, Sangama Harihara Devaraya I and Sangama Bukka Devaraya I in 1336 at Anegundi in Koppal District, Karnataka State. Hampi was the Capital City of Vijayanagara Empire. Sangama Harihara Devaraya I ruled Vijayanagara Empire from 1336 to 1356 and Bukka Devaraya I ruled from 1356 to 1377.
Harihara Devaraya and Bukka Devaraya, the two brothers belonging to Kuruba and Golla joint ancestry, were treasury officers under Prataparudra Devaraya, the ruler of the Kakatiya Kingdom of Warangal. After the fall of the Kakatiya Kingdom in 1323, Harihara Devaraya and Bukka Devaraya moved to the Hoysala Kingdom and became military officers in the army of Vira Ballala III, the Ruler of Hoysala Kingdom of Dorasamudra, now known as Halebidu.
Harihara Devaraya I became a commander in the Hoysala Kingdom and was appointed by Vira Ballala III to administer the Northern Territories of Hoysala Kingdom of Dorasamudram. Harihara Devaraya and Bukka Devaraya eventually became a part of the Hoysala Ruling Family when the daughter of Harihara Devaraya was given in marriage to Ballala Dandanayaka, a nephew Vira Ballala II, the Ruler of Hoysala Kigndom of Dorasamudra.
The first Vijayanagara Dynasty was the Sangama Dynasty which ruled the Vijayanagara Empire at Hampi from 1336 to 1485. The Second Vijayanagara Dynasty was the Saluva Dynasty, of the Raju Kshatriyas or Raju Saluva Kshatriyas, who are Chandravamsha Rajus. They ruled the Vijayanagara Empire at Hampi from 1485 to 1505. Raju Saluva Kshatriyas are also known as Saluva Kakatiya Gunda Raju Kshatriyas.
Some of the rulers of Kakatiyas of Orugallu, or Warangal, were Gunda Devaraya I, Gunda Devaraya II, Gunda Devaraya III and Gunda Devaraya IV. The father of Sri Saluva Narasimha Devaraya, the most prominent Saluva Kakatiya Raju Kshatrya Emperor of Vijayanagara Empire at Hampi, was Saluva Gunda, the Governor of Chandragiri in Chittoor District under the Sangama Dynasty Emperors of Vijayanagara Empire at Hampi.
The First Saluva Emperor of the Vijayanagara Empire at Hampi was Sri Saluva Narasimha Devaraya. His father was Sri Saluva Gunda who was the Governor of Chandragiri and his great grand-father was Saluva Sri Mangala Devaraya, who was one of the most valiant and most loyal military commanders of Bukka Devaraya I of the Sangama Dynasty of the Vijayanagara Empire at Hampi.
Sri Saluva Narasimha Devaraya ruled the Vijayanagara Empire for seven years from 1485 to 1491. He was the most famous Saluva Ruler of the Vijayanagara Kingdom at Hampi. He donated large sums of money and gold and silver articles, ornaments and jewelry to and carried out several constructions at Tirumala-Tirupati Sri Govindaraja Swamy Temple and Tirumala-Tirupati Sri Venkateshwara Swamy Temple.
Sri Tirumala-Tirupati Sri Periyakoil Kelvi Srimath Koil Kandadai Ramanuja Ayyangar Jeeyangar Iyengar Jiyangar Swami, the greatest Sri Vaishnava Religious Leader of the time, was most venerated by the Vijayanagara Emperor Sri Saluva Narasimha Devaraja. Sri Govindaraja Swamy Temple, in particular, received greatest attention, special royal favors, gifts and grants and highest contributions from Vijaya Nagara Emperor Sri Saluva Narasimha Devaraya.
Sri Saluva Narasimha Devaraya and his Raja Guru Sri Tirumala-Tirupati Sri Periyakoil Kelvi Srimath Koil Kandadai Ramanuja Ayyangar Jeeyangar Iyengar Jiyangar Swami worked in close cooperation with each other and took active measures to ennoble, popularize and spread Sri Alwar Bhakti, Sri Andal Bhakti, Sri Anjaneya Bhakti, Sri Govinda Bhakti, Sri Krishna Bhakti, Sri Lakshmi Bhakti, Sri Narasimha Bhakti, Sri Rama Bhakti, Sri Satanana Bhakti and Sri Vishnu Bhakti and Sri Vaishnavism throughout Vijayanagara Kingdom and the rest of Sanatana Bharat India.
After Sri Saluva Narasimha Devaraya, his two sons followed him as the next two Raju Saluva Kshatriya Rulers of Vijayanagara Empire at Hampi. Saluva Sri Thimma Bhupala Devaraya, the son of Sri Saluva Narasimha Devaraya, ruled for just a few months in 1491. Saluva Sri Narasimha Devaraya II, the younger brother of Sri Thimma Bhupala Devaraya, became the Emperor in 1491 and ruled the Vijayanagara Empire at Hampi from 1491 to 1505.
Karvetinagar Zamindar Saluva Bommaraju family belongs to Kshatriya Raju caste. Saluva Narasa, who belongs to this family, was appointed the chief of the region around Tirupati by Vimala Aditya, an Eastern Chalukyan King and he founded a town called Narasapuram. Later, the family became feudatories of Vijayanagar, and had marriage alliances with the Saluva Dynasty Emperors of Vijayanagara Empire at Hampi. They maintained loyalties to the Aravidu Dynasty Emperors of Vijayanagar Empire at Hampit. Around the 16th century, the members of the Karvetinagara Zamindar Family changed their name to Bommaraju retaining Saluva as a title in their names.
The members of Anegondi Aravidu Dynasty of Vijayanagar Empire at Hampi also belong to Hindu Raju Kshatriya Caste. Some of the important rulers of this Anegondi Dynasty of Vijayanagar Empire at Hampi are Anegundi Aravidu Vira Venkatapathi Raju Devaraya, Anegundi Aravidu Tirumala Raju Devaraya, Anegundi Aravidu Venkata Rama Raju Devaraya, Anegundi Aravidu Ranga Raju Devaraya, Anegundi Aravidu Krishna Devaraya, Anegundi Aravidu Tirumala Devaraya, Anegundi Aravidu Venkata Devaraya, Anegundi Aravidu Pedda Narasimha Raju Devaraya, Anegundi Aravidu Pedda Pampapati Raju Devaraya, Anegundi Aravidu Kumara Raghava Raju Devaraya, Anegundi Aravidu Krishna Deva Raya and Anegundi Aravidu Tirumala Venkata Deva Raya. This empire is now known as Anegondi Vijaya Narapati Samsthan at Anegondi, Vidya Vijayanagar.
In 2014, the ceremonial ruler of Vijaya Nagar Empire at Hampi was Anegondi Aravidu Narapathi Raja Achyuta Devaraya, also known as Raja Achyuta Deva Raya. He is the senior representative of the Royal House of Vijayanagara Anegondi Aravidu Narapathi Dynasty Rulers of Vijayanagara Empire at Hampi since 1984. He is married to Rani Chandra Kanta Devi.
Anegondi Vijayanagar Ruler Achyuta Devaraya is the Dharma Guru, the Religious Head of the Hindu Raju Kshatriya Community in India and since 1984, has been the Senior Representative of the Royal House of Vijayanagar. He enjoys traditional, customary privileges and temple honors at Hampi Temple and Anegondi Temple and during all religious functions at Anegondi, Hospet and surrounding areas formerly belonging to Vijayangar Empire at Hampi.
Raja Achyuta Devaraya, the ruler of Vijayangara Empire at Hampi, is married to Rani Chandrakanta Devi, who was born on October 11, 1946. They have two children: Princess Krishna Kumari, their daughter born on October 3, 1966 and Prince Sri Krishna Devaraya, also known as Krishna Deva Raya, their son born on October 6, 1970. They have a son-in-law Bharatraju Cheluva Raju, who is married to their daughter Krishna Kumari and a daughter-in-law Rathnashree Raju, born on July 11, 1975 and married to their son Sri Krishna Devaraya.
Raja Achyuta Devaraya and Rani Chandrakanta Devi have four grandsons, three born to their daughter Krishna Kumari and one born to their son Sri Krishna Devaraya. Their three grandsons, children of Krishna Kumari and Bharatraju Cheluva Raju, are Grand Prince Abhirath Bharath Raju, Grand Prince Aditya Bharath Raju and Grand Prince Arnav Bharat Raju.
Raja Achyuta Devaraya and Rani Chandrakanta Devi’s fourth grandson, born to Sri Krishna Devaraya and his wife Rathnashree Raju, is Grand Prince Tirumala Venkata Devaraya, also known as Tirumala Venkata Deva Raya. He was born on December 4, 2000.
On Sunday, January 12, 2014, Hampi celebrated the Vijaya Utsav at the mini palace where kings and queens of Vijayanagara Empire at Hampi spent their lives since January, 1565. On Saturday, January 11, 2014, Sri Krishna Devaraya, aged 43, from the Anegondi Aravidu Dynasty of Vijayanagar Empire at Hampi walked into this mini palace at Raja Beedi, Royal Street, at Anegondi, which means Elephant Enclosure, and is located on the banks of the Tungabhadra River.
He is a mechanical engineer by profession and worked for six years before returning to Hospet in Karnataka. He returned to Anegundi following the death of his father Raja Achyuta Devaraya. He says it is the duty of the members of the Anegondi Aravidu Dynasty to restore the heritage home and preserve it for the future generations of Indians in India. People came out of their homes in large numbers to pay their respects to their Vijayanagara Devaraya Raja. They greeted him with great reverence and with folded hands. He is still their Raja, their ruler forever.
The king of Vijayanagar who ruled from Hampi lost his kingdom in 1824 to the British and as per a treaty, he signed with them in 1824, the king’s family was to be provided a monthly pension of Rs 300 but the king’s family was forced to leave Hampi and make Anegundi its official residence.
According to Indian Hindu Mythology, Anegundi was Anjanadri hill, the birthplace of Lord Hanumantha, also known as Anjaneya or Anjanaputra or Anjana Nandana. Anegundi region was also called Kishkinda Kingdom, which was ruled by Vanara kings Vali and Sugriva, as mentioned in the Indian Hindu Epic of Adikavi Valmiki’s Ramayana. Some of the tourist places of attraction in Anegundi are Anjanadri Hill, Rishimukha Hill, Taraparvatha Hill, Pampa Sarovara Holy Pond, Aramane Palace and the ancient Sri Ranganatha Swamy Temple. Anegundi is 18 kilometers from Hospet via Hampi Talvara Ghatta River crossing by boats and about 350 km from Bangalore City, Karnataka State.
Vishnukundina dynasty, which had marital alliances with Guptas of North India, ruled India during c.500 -600 AD. They rose in prominence after the Sata Satanana Satvata Satavahana dynasty. The kings of this dynasty were very powerful and celebrated Asvamedha Vijaya Yatra Yaga. One of the Vishnukundina Kings was Madhava Varma who is celebrated in folklore and epics.
Govinda Varma was another famous Vishnukundina ruler. The Vishnukundins, who had three important cities, near Eluru, Amaravati and Puranisangam and held sway over Kaldindi fort in Krishna District, constructed cave monuments. The main area of the Vishnukundina rule was Krishna-Godavari Coastal Andhra near Eluru.
Eastern Chalukya Dynasty was founded by Vishnu Vardhana, one of the brothers of Pulakeshi, the Chalukya Ruler of Chalukya Dynasty of Badami. Eastern Chalukyas ruled over the area between the Eluru Town and the Godavari delta. Raja Raja Narendra was one of the rulers of Eastern Chalukya Dynasty. The Eastern Chalukya Kingdom merged into the Chola Kingdom when the Eastern Chalukya King married the daughter of the Chola King. The son of the Eastern Chalukya King and the Chola Queen inherited both the Eastern Chalukya and Chola Kingdoms.
Gajapatis of Odisha or Oriya or Kalinga ruled the region between Cuttack in Odisha and Vijayawada in Andhra Pradesh. Paricchedi Raju Kshatriya Kings were the ancestors of the Pusapati or Poosapati royal rulers of Kalinga Vizianagaram dynasty.
Pusapati or Poosapati rulers of Kalinga Vizianagaram Kingdom, founded in late16th century AD, were Raju Kshatriyas of the Surya Vamsham lineage. Paricchedi Raju Kshatriya Kings were their ancestors. They built two new capital cities namely Bezawada or Vijayawada and Kollipaka. They also built the city of Vizianagaram, in memory of Vijay Rama Raju. The Maharaja of Vizianagaram, who belongs to Vasishta Gotra and Surya Vamsham, is a descendant of the Rajput Sisodia Guhilot Ranas of Udaipur. Pusapati Gajapati Rulers, who were initially allies of the Gajapathi Emperor of Orissa, later became the feudal allies of the Vijayanagara Empire of Hampi.

Srimath Paravastu Venkatacharya, the most revered 6th Matadhipati Acharya of Sri Tirumala Tirupati Sri Sarvathanthra Swathanthra Srimath Paravastu Mutt, wrote: “Sri Manmaha Paricchedika Varnata Kota Kakati Vamsha Patavamula Vasishtra Kaundinya Vara Dhanunjaya Kashyapakhya Gotrambula Natishayallu.”

Maharaja Sir Gode Narayana Gajapathi Rao Bahadur was a scion of the ancient Goday family of Vizagapatam in the Northern Circars, Madras Presidency, and Zamindar of Ankapalle and other estates. He received his education in the Hindu College, Calcutta. He was a Member of the Madras Legislative Council from 1868 to 1884 and a Fellow of the University of Madras. The title of Raja was conferred upon him in 1881 and the title of Maharaja on May 21, 1898. He established and maintained several schools and colleges.
Sri Visakhapatnam Srimath Paravastu Srinivasacharya Ramanuja Charyulu Ayyavarlu was a great scholar in Telugu and Sanskrit languages. He compiled a Sanskrit-Telugu Dictionary known as Sarva Shabda Sambhodini Sanskrit Nighantu, Andhra Tika Sahita (a dictionary of Sanskrit words explained in Sanskrit and in Telugu).
This Magnum Opus Sanskrit-Telugu work of Sri Visakhapatnam Srimath Paravastu Srinivasacharya Ramanuja Charyulu Ayyavarlu is dedicated to Gode Jamindar Sri Surya Prakasha Rau, the son of Gode Pedda Jagga Rao (Peda Jagga Raya) and the brother of Subadramma, Bangaramma, Lakshmi Narasamma, Bhaskara Rao and Surya Narayana Rao.
